Importance of Underlayments
Se habla español
A quality roof underlayment is absolutely critical to the long-term success of your South Florida roof. At Kairos Roofing, we understand this better than anyone. The sub-roof creates a sturdy, waterproof barrier between your shingles and your home, keeping you – and all your belongings – safe and dry. A roofing system may not seem as exciting as picking out the right style of roof or a shingle color to match your home’s aesthetic, but it’s truly one of the most important factors to consider during a roof replacement project.
We know that choosing a company to ensure the health of your South Florida roof is a big decision. You want a company with experienced contractors who know what they’re doing, especially when it comes to the sub-roof foundation. In addition to the experience and capabilities required, Kairos Roofing is fully licensed and insured for all the work we perform. See our full list of services below:

What Is a Roof Underlayment?
Types of Roof Underlayment
There are several types of roofing underlayment available today, some of which include asphalt-saturated felt, rubberized asphalt, and non-bitumen synthetics made of felt paper. However, some of these materials are considered outdated.
We install two different types of home roof underlayment here at Kairos Roofing. These are:
Modified Bitumen
TPO Roofing

Roofing System Costs
The cost of your home’s new roof membrane will depend on several factors. These include:
- The square footage of your roof
- The number of vents and pipes on your roof
- The type of roofing system you select
If your roof decking also needs to be repaired or replaced, that can impact your roofing system estimate. However, here at Kairos Roofing, we believe in transparency, which is why we’ll perform a thorough evaluation of your roof and explain all the possible costs associated with your project.
